Wiktionary move?
[edit]Giving this article the title "Qor" makes it look more like a Wiktionary-type definition. (The acronym is also used for "quick oil release", by the way.) A search for QoR and "Quality of results" returns >700 hits, suggesting that the concept is significant enough to be covered in encyclopedic fashion. I suggest: Move article to Quality of results; make this abbreviation a redirect; flesh out the article by incorporating more information from those search results (for example, [1] is (I hope) a link to a cached page found by Yahoo! search that seems to give more information about how the term is used). - I will try to find some time to convert this into e more encyclopedic entry (thank you for the link, i saved it for further reference), but i'll both have to read more about how to format such an article, and i'm not sure there is so much to say. I'll try to do something about this in the next week. --Gyll 09:26, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- On the other hand, I left a suggestion on Village Pump which is kind of broad in nature, and i think it would be appropriate to also put it here. The suggestion goes like this: for each "Candidate to moving to wiktionary" page, make a weighted signed poll (each respondent weighted somehow based on their contributions to wikipedia), and when the number of answers exceeds N let the polling result make the decision w/r to removing the item from wikipedia pages. --Gyll 09:26, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Don't worry too much about how to format the article. If you provide the content, someone else can fix any formatting errors. JamesMLane 09:30, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)
