http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Milan-Vidmar is identical with this article. Is this plagarism by that site...or was the wikipedia entry lifted from this site or some other site this site copied. Is this allowed on wikipedia? ChessPlayer 05:09, 5 Mar 2004 (UTC)

See the bottom of that page: "The Wikipedia article included on this page is licensed under the GFDL." It's all above board. See Wikipedia:Sites that use Wikipedia for content. --Camembert
But maybe Wikipedia copied from that site? ChessPlayer 16:31, 5 Mar 2004 (UTC)
It didn't. If it did, why would they say "The Wikipedia article included on this page...". Nationmaster (which is what that site is) has copied many of our articles in this way. So have many other sites. --Camembert
Hey guys. The article is completely written from scratch in English which is not my native!! As I am quite long user here and also administrator it is normaly that I know what I am doing. Consider this. Most of the text was translated and adopted from Slovene sources, and also from an article in Slovene wikipedia. So most probably that source was copied from here. One anonimous (58.162.245.111) on 30. October 2005 removed this sentence from here:
Vidmar was also a top-class chess International Grandmaster, ranking fourth among the world elite, including Lasker, Capablanca, Alekhine, and Euwe, as an amateur player among professionals.''
I am not informed about the world chess situation of that time, but my sources say so. Also sadly - an image was removed by one (ro)bot. It was prepared for Wikipedia by me also, and uploaded in a good will (of fair use - let us say). Best regards. --xJaM 07:40, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
