multilateration
[edit]Not sure that Decca is based on multilateration. I had never heard of multilateration but from its page it seems to be a method of measuring position by comparing time differences between signals from a set of transmitters.
My understanding of the situation (and its 20 years since I did my exams) is that the LORAN hyperbolae were based on time differences, but that Decca and Omega were both based on phase differences and NOT time differences.
If this is the case then one of the following actions should be taken:
1. The reference to multilateration should be removed from the decca article; or
2. The definition on the multilateration page should be changed to include phase or time difference
Link to Decca Radar
[edit]I removed the link to Decca Radar in Origins. Harvey F. Schwarz could not have worked for Decca Radar company as it did not exist at that time (the first Decca Radar was released in 1950). I don't know what Decca company he did work for.

Special DECCA towers
[edit]What's so special about the Puckeridge and Zeven transmitters? Can the term "special" be substantiated? SC 20:35, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
new image available
[edit]I've just uploaded an image of the Decca navigator Mk 21. It could be integrated in the article. 195.4.86.244 (talk) 13:01, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
