updates Dominaria

[edit]

Hi Slobad, thx for the updates! But I think we've lost Efrava and Anvillonia in the proces. Any info on that? Also, I have always been under the inpression that Barl and Lord Ith were one and the same, am I wrong? Hunter 07:00, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anvilonia may not be an actual place (all we know about the Anvilonian Grimoire is one card's flavor text and one paragraph from Johan, so we don't know what it's named after). Efrava has been moved to Jamuraa.
Barl and Ith are two different people. Read The Gathering Dark. -Slobad 09:43, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MTG article

[edit]

I can tell you are someone who knows the rules pretty well. I do also, but it is very important that we remove rules and terminology from the article to keep it short and understandable to non-players. Please respect that goal. -- Netoholic @ 17:15, 2005 Jan 31 (UTC)

Stop changing the Complexity to anything but "Medium". This level, and the other information, is mased on the basic game (the "Core Set"), just like for other games. Of course, expansions make it more complex, but that is not what the infobox is referring to. If you disagree with this long-standing version, please raise a conversation on the talk page. -- Netoholic @ 05:37, 2005 Apr 12 (UTC)

Homelands (Magic: The Gathering)

[edit]

Why did you remove the "Poorly received" section from the Homelands article? It's not POV to describe that the set was a failure, any more than it's POV for the article on the Edsel to have a lengthy section on why it was a failure. All of the assertions are objective, none would pass without large complaint from the MTG community as a whole, and there's even a sourced comment from Mark Rosewater, the game's current Lead Designer, calling it the game's all-time design low point. So what gives? Andrew Levine 03:54, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

questions

[edit]

Hi Slobad. I've seen that on talk pages, every time you ask a question, you end it with a "huh?" You also refer to yourself in the third person. I'm curious, are trying to roleplay like Slobad the goblin, or is English not your first language? -- Norvy (talk) 07:02, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Slobad not roleplaying like Slobad the goblin, huh? Slobad is Slobad the goblin. --Slobad 20:59, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
By talking like that, it makes it difficult to discuss things. Wikipedia is not a forum to roleplay in. Most people in the Magic the Gathering Project disagree with the Ravnica article focusing on the plane, rather than the expansion. We need to speak in ways that make communication easier. -- Norvy (talk) 02:18, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

3rr

[edit]

I am leaving this same message on the talk page of both User:Bedford and User:Slobad. Please be aware of the three revert rule, or 3rr. A cursory glance at Homeland's history shows that you both broke the rule. I don't see that the changes by either side were simple vandalism, so there is no exception there. It looks like things have calmed down now, and I don't see that anything would be gained by reporting it. In the future, when the reverts are flying like that, please try and stay calm, and discuss the changes on talk, or at the magic wikiproject. You'll find that it's more constructive. WP:COOL is a good read, it's about staying cool when the editing gets hot. Thanks. -- Norvy (talk) 20:36, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Infinitesimal

[edit]

In your recent edit to Infinitesimal you said, "zero is infinitesimal". But surely this is wrong. Isn't the proper definition, a nonzero quantity whose magnitude is less than any positive real number? - dcljr (talk) 06:00, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mathworld defines infinitesimal as "A quantity which yields 0 after the application of some limiting process." This definition includes zero, huh? --Slobad 15:09, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
