Reason to be:

All I wanted to do was look up a few links, get the ball rolling on a topic, and hopefully someone else would pick up the ball and take it a little farther down the road, but no...speedily deleted shows up as soon as I save the page.

Now I understand that every community has its rules, but loosen up...things could linger a while before being deleted, perhaps get a contest going to see how many pages can be saved from being speedily deleted.

So now I have to join the club, sign up, do research, proofread...this internet thing just can't be allowed to be fun, some anal perfectionist has to ensure that every page links to a plethora of other content. Well the universe just isn't that connected folks.

Leaves are stubs, but that doesn't mean we burn down the trees to spite the leaves. Relax, there is no impending doom, a million years from now there will still be a Wikipedia project, and guess what, it won't be perfect. Let it go.
