Major of the village "Nieuw-Dijk" is the honourable Major Bertus Lanters, he lives in the Tinneveldstraat with his honourable wife Mrs. Marie Lanters.

- Likely not. This was primarily used as self-glorifying exercise by someone related to or a member of the Lanters family. Nieuw Dijk is not a municipality and a Lanters is not mayor of Didam. Given this, I thought it wisest to remove any info that's not clearly valid since we can't possibly trust it. Anyway, I've edited the page to a more proper article. -Scipius 12:15 Apr 21, 2003 (UTC)
