Talk:Banc

I've changed this from a disambiguation page to an article. I removed the last portion which was PoV. Didn't the term "banc" arise because S&Ls (and possibly other institutions that weren't officially banks) could not legally call themselves "banks?" If this is correct then hopefully it can be elaborated in the article. Otherwise, it doesn't leave much content and this could probably be changed back to a disambig, or merged to some other article about financial institutions. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 14:27, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
