[edit]"The BJP is believed by some to be in a strong position to win the elections." is meaningless. There's always someone who believes them to be in a strong position. So either say who believes it, or drop it entirely. Avoid weasel words.
AFAIK, pretty much every opinion poll and prognosis has put the NDA on top. Here's one at random: [1] -- Arvindn 19:20, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)
And why should there be the " (India)" disambig in the title? Lok Sabha is at Lok Sabha, not Lok Sabha (India). You only want to disambiguate when the title without disambiguation could mean something else, which is clearly not the case here. -- Arvindn 19:29, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)
as it stands right now, this article seems to be biased in favor of the BJP...
I agree. This sentence: "Lacking a charismatic leader in Italian-born party president Sonia Gandhi, Congress still managed a good show." is both biased and ungrammatical. Someone should rewrite this section. Adam 22:57, 13 May 2004 (UTC)
I've just looked in on this page, following its flagging on the main page. Brilliant job, people: basic facts all there, some informative in depth analysis, NPOV, and up to date. Thanks! seglea 23:27, 13 May 2004 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:EVM carried on elephant.jpg
[edit]Image:EVM carried on elephant.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Correct pic of Mulayam Singh in infobox
[edit]The fourth pic in the infobox is supposed to be that of Mulayam Singh, but it's not him. ToMt (talk) 15:46, 7 March 2018 (UTC)

Proposed merge of List of National Democratic Alliance candidates in the 2004 Indian general election into 2004 Indian general election
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- No consensus. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 11:14, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
there is no particular need for a stand-alone article for this. A merger to the parent election article would make that one a bit better, at least. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 02:57, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
Candidates List Should Have Separate Page Because All 543 Constituencies Can't Be Kept In Single Article Along Entire Election Result Dev Adhi (talk) 09:25, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
Seperate page will be neat and crisp. It will help if candidates by constituencies is also being added. Nahtrav (talk)
- Neutral opinion The article can stay the same if it is capable of expansion similar to List of National Democratic Alliance candidates in the 2014 Indian general election and List of National Democratic Alliance candidates in the 2019 Indian general election but if there are no available sources to expand since this relates to 2004 this mentioned article can be merged.
Discussion about MoS violation
[edit]Hi @Number 57: how putting the name of the constituencies of the leaders in the infobox is violating the MoS, and which point of the MoS, please explain. Ku423winz1 (talk) 04:10, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
- MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE; information not in the article should not be in the infobox. Cheers, Number 57 13:01, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
