That elusive noun
[edit]Bogdan created this article at "List of Bucharests". There is, God help us, only one Bucharest, so that would be a short list. I don't believe there is actually a common English-language word for people from Bucharest. In my own writing I've used "Bucharestean(s)", but now googling for that I suspect that every use of that on the Internet -- even a couple in Hungarian -- trace back to me! "Bucharesters" fares a little better (104 Google hits, + 23 for Bucharester). Bucharestians gets 220 + 24, but they appear to be mostly from two sources -- Bucharest In Your Pocket, probably the best English-language guide to the city, and pressreview.ro -- and without the terminal "s" it's mostly used as an adjective. So I guess "Bucharester" wins, and I'm moving this accordingly. -- Jmabel | Talk 03:20, Dec 19, 2004 (UTC)
List would be more useful
[edit]The list would be more useful with dates of birth and death and a short description what each person is known for. 165.189.91.148 16:46, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- Done: I added short description today. --Dostojewskij (talk) 20:10, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
Alexandru Buşă
[edit]Who is Alexandru Buşă? Why does he merit being on the list? - Jmabel | Talk 17:39, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- Apparently he added himself. [1] bogdan 17:56, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
