Leontocephaline image

I don't feel knowledgeable enough on the relevant sources to edit the page myself, but as a reader I was wondering why this page (as well as Yaldabaoth) uses the image of the lion-headed figure from Mithraism. The lion-headed serpent is certainly similar, but I couldn't find anything indicating this particular figure being interpreted as a depiction of Yaldabaoth. The image's caption provides its origin, but neither page has an explanation for its presence.

Looking at the revision history, it seems it was to accompany a quote that was lost via summarization in Special:Diff/1135091279. Though even then, the latter half of that quote which compares the lion iconography to that seen in Mithraism seems a bit out of place in the etymology/names section. Looking at the image's uses, it seems it has also mistakenly spread to some other-language Wikipedias without context or even the claim that it is a depiction of the Demiurge.
